Liz Benjamin reports.....................

No, not from the governor.
The AP
reports:
“Newly installed state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office received a threatening letter containing a white powder on Tuesday, a spokesman for DiNapoli said.
An office staffer opened the envelope and immediately informed a supervisor of her discovery, spokesman Dan Weiller said. The supervisor then called police.
Police determined the substance was not dangerous, Weiller said. While he wouldn’t divulge the exact contents of the letter, he termed it a “death threat.”

That letter with the suspicious-looking white powder that came to the state comptroller’s office this morning and threatened Tom DiNapoli also contained a written threat against Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, D-Manhattan, State Police say.
The powder turned out to be harmless. The police are looking for the sender of the letter, which had an Albany postmark.
