Mike Bloomberg, an outspoken proponent of charter schools, wants to let it be known that he's firmly with Spitzer on this one. "One can only hope that parents fight that tooth and nail," he said" ......thanks Azi for the update..........and another Spitzer Appointment is in the works.......
Spitzer to Hire Bigshot Attorney Shanahan "According to two sources, famed attorney and gay rights advocate Tom Shanahan is about to join the Spitzer administration as a deputy commissioner for Human Rights." .............and Spitzer turns writer with Gov Writes ‘Dear Trustee’ Letter "Gov. Eliot Spitzer has released a copy of a letter he sent to more than 1,000 trustees of hospitals in the state in which he defends his budget and has some pointed questions for the Greater New York Hospital Association and 1199 S.E.I.U. United Healthcare Workers East, two powerful groups opposing his budget." here is one of the questions......."How can it be that the same hospitals that claim poverty and demand billions of dollars in state subsidies can afford to sustain a $65 million ‘education’ fund, contribute $22.5 million into political campaigns since 1999, and spend $12.7 million on lobbying since 2003? "...maybe that hit lotto as well??? and if you do the crime...you better do all the time........No Work Release For You ....."Gov. Eliot Spitzer has signed his ninth executive order to bar certain prisoners from participating in temporary work release programs.
Those no longer eligible include offenders who have been convicted of any of the followin: terrorism, homicide, sex crimes and violent felonies committed with a weapon or resulting in serious injury or conspiracy to commit any of the above offenses. "..........and speaking of doing time....goofball Ball is at it again........
Workers Comp Then Civil Committment " Remember Greg Ball? That freshman Assembly Republican from the 99th AD in the lower Hudson Valley, who made blog headlines last month when he decried his house’s decision to elect Tom DiNapoli as state Comptroller over the objections of Gov. Eliot Spitzer?
He just spoke a few minutes ago in favor of the Assembly’s passage of the workers compensation reform bill, saying:
‘’The last time I spoke I said today is a sad day. Today is a happy day.'’ ...yeah..let's break out the coloring books and crayons.........geeeeeeeeeeeezzzzz.........and finally for you political junkies that like to review campaign finance reports......here you go...enjoy........
