Long Island Newsday's Spincycle reports Is Bruno Fit To Lead? I love Mondello's praise of Bruno.......sort of reminds me of the "kiss of death" in the Godfather series and Bonacic Calls For Bruno To Step Down ..........which Liz Benjamin notes over at Capitol Confidential, Bonacic is a close ally of state Sen. Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) who has long been seen as Bruno's successor.....and of course Mondello would love to replace Bruno with his hometown boy Skelos....things have come full circle??? Bruno you are no match for Mondello.....never was...never will be.........and according to Liz Benjamin(Capitol Confidential) Albany DA Soares News Conference tomorrow at 12:30 should be most interesting.....The topic: “Events of the Day”............Liz thinks Hevesi will be the only topic...I agree with her.......this will be one very well attended "routine" press conference..........and we have the "doubting" Liz again with This Is Day One? she doesn't like the idea that Lorraine Cortes-Vasquez ...named as secretary of state by Spitzer is a registered lobbyist.....here is the best part....for 6 months worth of work..she made a whopping...sit down for this.....$5,718........come on Liz.....lighten up on Eliot will ya???......... Azi Paybarah( The Politicker) dug up some past dirt on Sen Bruno Bruno's Land Deal Redux .........nothing like a good vintage scandal ....like a bad habit..they keep coming back.........and Azi asks who will be the lucky public official who "gets a prime spot seated behind the new governor when he delivers his State of the State address January 3rd?" Azi's Handicapping okay...Azi my pick for the prime spot goes to Assemblyman Tom DiNapoli: The nicest guy in Albany. Spitzer endorsed DiNapoli during his 2001 primary for Nassau County Executive against Tom Suozzi.........that's it folks.......good night to one and all...........andy
