Hevesi Gone?????????
Fred Dicker of the NY Post has DEMS AND ELIOT WILL CHOOSE HIS SUCCESSOR "December 21, 2006 -- ALBANY - The vacancy created by state Comptroller Alan Hevesi's expected resignation tomorrow will be filled by the Democrats who control the Legislature - with major input from Gov.-elect Eliot Spitzer, officials said last night. " meanwhile the NY Daily News tells us Hevesi is ready to resign "He'll cop plea and quit tomorrow, source says" and Newsday chimes in with Party leaders talk about possible Hevesi replacement "The discussions about a Hevesi successor have centered on three men: Westchester Assemb. Richard Brodsky, Assemb. Thomas DiNapoli, of Great Neck, and William Mulrow, a financial executive from Westchester who ran a failed bid for comptroller in 2002."
