Lawmakers like Bruno show need for reform

Times Union Letters to the Editor

First published: Thursday, December 7, 2006
If we're going to really make reforms in state government, lawmakers like Sen. Joe Bruno have to go. Bruno's attitude that New Yorkers don't need to know where and how their money is being spent is indicative of the kind of arrogant attitude that permits graft and corruption in government

Bruno's recent comments about Eliot Spitzer's proposed reforms are also indicative of his arrogance. It's time for Joe to go, ballpark or no ballpark, fountain or no fountain.

This letter is exactly what Spitzer had in mind when he talked about "rallying the public" to help push through his reforms.............andy
