Out of Albany or Day One Begins
The Politicker Azi Paybarah
"This may be a first.
A fund-raiser normally held in Albany is being relocated to New York City to comply with one of Eliot Spitzer's reform proposals.
Spitzer had said that he hoped to set an example by not attending or participating in fund-raisers in the capital when the legislature is in session.
In response, Assemblyman Mark Weprin is having his annual fundraiser not in Albany, but at Jack, a restaurant on University Place that's owned by his cousin and former pollster, Julie Weprin.
It begins."
Way to go Mark!!!!!!! Eliot is walking the walk..not just talking the talk...leading by example and it is starting to pay off..............andy
