This photo and bio was taken from Nassau County Comptroller's Website

Nassau County, with its population of 1.3 million and annual budget of $2.4 billion, is larger than many states. The Comptroller is the county’s primary fiscal watchdog, monitoring the county's budget and financial operations, auditing government agencies to uncover waste and abuse, and reviewing county contracts and claims.
Since taking office in 2002, Howard Weitzman has committed the Office of the Comptroller to fiscal openness and transparency. On this Web site you will find a wealth of information about Nassau’s finances and operations, including the complete text of all of our audits. You will also find timely reports about serious issues facing the county, and information about Nassau’s free prescription discount card for all residents, the NassauRx card, pioneered by this office.

Stark also serves as chair of the New York City Retirement System and the Teachers Retirement System."
