Liz Benjamin(Capitol Confidential) gives us Yet Another Would-Be Comptroller "Add Syracuse City Auditor Philip LaTessa to the list of those pushing to become State Comptroller" and Comptroller From Beyond The Bubble? "I got an interesting call yesterday from a fellow named George Nadel, who had been reading about the search for a state comptroller wanted to know how to apply for the job.
Nadel, who lives in Rexford, Saratoga County said he’s a Wharton business school grad with a CPA and has worked for major downstate retailers including Loehmans and Rainbow Apparel" Nadel wanted to know where one could apply for the comptroller’s job. I didn’t have an answer for him, so I told him to call his local legislators.
He e-mailed back and said he called Assemblyman Bob Reilly’s office, who told them they “will send me out the job specs in a couple of weeks….apparently they have not been written yet.”
That raises an interesting question: Will there be actual job specs for the state Comptroller, and is there a place to send resumes? Should there be?" My guess there is a pretty long line already of folks looking to fill the spot........Azi Paybarah(The Politicker) directs us to a new legislative website that will let us know How Albany Stacks Up "The Legislative Database website, which, as the name suggests, tracks state legislation throughout the nation, has just added New York to its database. " Is New York really that dysfunctional....compared to say.....Jersey??? and Joe Bruno's son is a key connection in an FBI probe into his dad's business dealings. meanwhile Bill Hammond wants Tom Suozzi to take the comptroller job..........Bill must have missed the last Dem Primary for Governor........the right temperament for the job??? Pissing off as many elected Democrats in a 9 month period does not qualify you for Comptroller...sorry Bill......and finally Azi thinks Mayor Bloomberg is not losing any sleep with the selection of Denver for the Nat'l Dem Convention Dems to Denver ................New York is losing a ton of money over this..money has no political allegiance..................andy
