PATAKI TAB WON'T FLY

Fred Dicker New York Post

Believe me..there will be no documentation forthcoming from Camp Pataki...he tried to pull a fast one..and lost........and Liz Benjamin(Capitol Confidential) also reports "Former Gov. George Pataki is phasing out his taxpayer-financed State Police security detail and is consulting with private security firms to protect him"............wow.....he is finally getting off the taxpayer's backs..........andy

"THE Spitzer administration has told former Gov. George Pataki that his campaign committee, or some other private entity, should pay the $10,712 bill incurred last month for a last-minute charter flight on a private luxury jet, unless the flight can be justified.
The Post disclosed last week that the state Comptroller's Office had blocked payment of the bill after determining a state-owned aircraft could have been used for the Dec. 8 trip to Lynchburg, Va.
"We've said to Pataki's people, 'Give us the documentation to show this was justified,' " said Gov. Spitzer's spokesman, Darren Dopp.
Pataki, who had just three weeks to go before leaving office, and several aides were photographed during the trip as they toured a plant where columns were being fabricated for the rebuilding at the World Trade Center site."
