"We just saw Tom DiNapoli, and if the size of his grin is any indicator, the comptroller vote is a done deal. Which is what our sources say, too -- although the Senate Democrats may nominate NYC finance commissioner Martha Stark when the Joint Senate-Assembly conference starts at 2 pm.
If things work out, DiNapoli will have to resign his Assembly seat. The Speaker will have to send an official copy of the vote to the Secretary of State. Then DiNapoli will go to the Comptroller's office for a public swearing in, and a press conference afterward."
