Tom DiNapoli is our next state comptroller!!!!!!!!!

Wow...2 days in a row of good news...don't know if my heart can take it........andy

ALBANY, N.Y. -- New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver tells WNBC.com's Tim Minton that Thomas P. DiNapoli, a Democratic Assemblyman from Nassau County, will be the next comptroller of the State of New York.
The announcement comes after a one-hour 15-minute closed door conference of Assembly Democrats. During the meeting, three other members of the Assembly, who had expressed a desire to be comptroller, withdrew their candidacies.
DiNapoli is expected to be voted into office at a joint session of the state legislature, scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m.
The comptroller succeeds Alan Hevesi, who resigned in disgrace following a felony conviction late last year.
The selection of the Nassau County Democrat follows a divisive three-week period in which a "short list" of candidates outside the Assembly who had been recommended by a selection panel, was discarded by the legislative leaders.
Gov. Eliot Spitzer had argued strenuously that a candidate be chosen from among those on the panel's list, and said late Tuesday, "My patience with leaders who do not want ethical reform has run its course."
